Heather Nisbett-Loewenstein - Artistic Director and Company Puppeteer
Our founder and the company's guiding force, Heather has performed, designed and/or directed over 75 different productions for StoneLion, as well as, working as a puppet builder and costume designer for professional theaters. She holds adegrees in theater from Boise State University and the University of Dublin,Trinity College.
Laura Burkhart - Resident Scenic Designer
Laura joined StoneLion ten years ago and has performed in such pieces as Kachina Drums, Winter in the Wildwood and It's a Jungle Out There. She is also the author of StoneLion's acclaimed Gwendolyn's Dragon. When not working with StoneLion she can be found at A to Z Theatrical and designing or painting for most of the professional theaters in Kansas City including The American Heartland, The Civic Opera and The Unicorn. She has at least two dozen designs for StoneLion productions including our new mask and large puppet version of Twas the Night Before Christmas and Backyard Buggin'.
Glenn D. Lewis - Resident Technical Director and Photographer
Glenn has been working with StoneLiIon for over 5 years now building sets and props and shooting our photos. He is also the resident Technical Director for The Unicorn Theater and Shop Foreman for The American Heartland Theater.
Ken Lovern - Composer
Ken is a professional jazz musician playing the Hammond organ with such groups as Ida McBeth and the Will Mathews Band. His compositions for StoneLion include The Lab Rat Science Show and the complete score for Excuse Me Are You a Dragon?
Jack Sharman - Composer
Jack is a professional composer and musician who recently comppsed the sound track for our popular Backyard Buggin' production at The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. The DVD is now avaiaible. He has also composed music for The Snow Queen, The Magic Cauldron and Moon Rock. He is currently working on Stellaluna opening in March of 2007.
Taylor Gass- Office Manager
Besides working as a very talented part of our core perfroming company, Taylor is now in charge of making sense of our work in the office. She may be who you talk to in booking our performances or in making sure all the little details are taken care of.
