Using multiple styles of puppetry, including marionettes, masks, shadow, mouth, and rod puppets, StoneLion Puppet Theatre brings the magic of world-class puppet shows right to your doorstep! Shows are fresh, original and educational and can be performed for 30 or 1000. StoneLion tours throughout the Midwest and the United States, and performs in collaboration with local Kansas City venues such as Union Station, and Martin City at Metcalf. StoneLion is a Smithsonian Institute touring performer, on the Missouri Arts Council Touring Roster, and a member of UNIMA International and The Puppeteers of America. Count on StoneLion to bring their dedication to excellence in theatre, art, education and fun to you!

StoneLion has a performance for you from $200-$2000. Pricing dependent on number of performances, season and travel expenses. Please call or contact us for more information and booking specials.

   Check out our calendar page for a listing of all the amazing shows you can come see in the community this summer! Bugs are going wild with Bubba and Trixie. Our new marionette show Take Flight blasts off at the Kid's Music fest-Jiggle Jam and so much more. Most are FREE and open to the public.

The Spirit of the Wood

The cullmination of our community earth celebrations, The Spirit of the Wood is an amazing intereactive giant puppet spectacle using the puppets the community helped build. Our 20' monster of trash, 9'H giant butterflies painted by kids around town, 20'H walking trees, hordes of frogs and more celebrate the enviroment and make us realize change is never too late. Join us for Mother's Day honoring Mother Earth. Bring a picnic, blankets encouraged. 

Family activities 1-4 p.m. include puppet making, basil seed transplant, flower arranging, paper sculpture art, live Jazz, ice cream vendor, tour the art museum...and of course, our show.
